One last thing

I decided to give them faces, hopefully they're not too cutesy now.

Here is the second hoop that goes with the last post.
They're pretty cute as a pair. =]

#4

This is my most recent Hiller Goodspeed embroidery. Might be my favorite so far, even though it has fewer teeth than the original illustration.

Photo is coming back

I photographed the Lemp Wedding last weekend in Orlando. This weekend I will be doing some edits.

Heat Wave

It is insanely hot in Baltimore right now, and my house has no AC. It is making me a little crazy. I haven't made art in awhile so I decided to do some brainless embroideries to get myself reacquainted. The series I am working on (started yesterday) is just quotes from movies I like. More specifically- my favorite identifiable line from any specific film. The first one I did is from [500] Days of Summer and is pictured below, while the second is from Rushmore. As always, I found the back of the stitches quite interesting. I'm planning on doing some more of these until ideas start flowing.

White Out

Mmmmm, winter 2010.

1/2 Marathon

This is not art related, but you all need to visit my fundraising site for my Team in Training 1/2 marathon. I am raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and need as much help as I can get! Training is progressing, I have never been a runner or much of an athlete...but I'm getting better. =]

Thank You Cards

These were just some inexpensive thank you cards I made to send out. I really love hand making cards.
The text was a large stamp, which I embossed in black. The orange flower had an adhesive attachment on the back, which made things easier than trying to deal with a brad.

New Direction

This is like embroidery doodling. Just practicing some stitches and I randomly decided to do a shirt and tie. Can't wait to start doing the books of patterns I got.
